Knockouts #1 Contender’s Battle Royal

Okay, the participants are Tara, Brooke Tessmacher, Sarita, Rosita, ODB, Mickie James, Velvet Sky, Winter, and Angelina Love. Oh, and Gail Kim and Madison Rayne are sitting ringside to observe the match in their evening wear. Madison cuts a prematch promo saying what a gracious champion Gail Kim is because she’s giving everyone in the ring the chance to become the #1 contender for the Knockouts Title, then tells the timekeeper to ring the bell. He obliges and we’re off. Winter voluntarily hops over to choke Mickie from the apron and gets driven off the apron by ODB, then Brooke gets tossed right behind her. ODB picks Rosita up and press slams her onto Brooke and Winter to eliminate her as well. Mickie tries to headscissor ODB to the floor and several others try to dump the both of them, but they save themselves on the apron. Mickie goes up top but ODB shoves her off to the floor and then everyone else rushes ODB and sends her to the floor as well. Sarita dumps Tara to the apron and Angelina dropkicks her out to the floor where she appears to tweak her knee, and we’re down to Velvet, Angelina, and Sarita. Angelina and Sarita try to work together on Velvet but she fights them both off, taking Sarita out with a clothesline before Angelina blindsides her. Velvet still takes them both out with a double clothesline and tries to dump Angelina, but Sarita nails Velvet from behind and the two of them double team Velvet in the corner. Velvet comes back with more clotheslines and back elbows and she tries to dump Sarita but Angelina stops her and she tries to eliminate Velvet. Sarita comes over and goes after Angelina now, they argue briefly before Angelina lays Velvet out with the Botox Injection and Gail and Madison laugh it up at ringside. Angelina tries to dump Velvet but Sarita comes up and “accidentally” dumps her from behind. We’re down to Velvet and Sarita, and Sarita drills Velvet with a dropkick, but Sarita charges and Velvet pulls the top rope down and Sarita sails out to the floor. Velvet thinks she’s won, but suddenly Madison Rayne pops out of her chair and rushes the ring, dumps Velvet over the top rope, and apparently she is now the #1 contender to the Knockouts Title.

Winner: Madison Rayne

- On Sunday at “Against All Odds”, Gail Kim successfully defended the Knockouts Title against Tara! On Thursday’s IMPACT on SpikeTV, a new #1 Contender will be determined in a 10-Knockout Battle Royal! The winner of the Battle Royal will get the next shot at the Knockouts gold. The participants are: Sarita, Rosita, Brooke Tessmacher, Winter, Tara, ODB, Mickie James, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne and Angelina Love!

TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim (c) w/ Madison Rayne vs. Tara

Tara goes after Gail Kim right away with a series of chops and snapmare takedowns. Gail and Madison are arguing as Tara gets in a quick snap suplex. Gail drops Tara off the top rope as Madison continues yelling out insults from ringside. Gail sends Tara face first into the corner and follows with a clothesline splash. Gail connects with a missile dropkick to Tara. Gail yells back at Madison and Madison screams, “Screw you!” Madison walks up up the ramp and Gail waves goodbye. Gail with a quick cross-body. Gail with a snap top rope huricanrana on Tara. Tara fires back with a quick powerslam. Tara with her spinning side slam on Gail. Tara with a top rope moonsault connecting on Gail. Tara favors her knee after connecting. Tara covers Gail, but gets a two count. Tara fights to her feet and Gail drops Tara’s knee over hers. Gail then connects with her finisher dropping back with her boot in Tara’s face to get the pinfall.

Gail finishes by skee balling Tara through a swinging double door and knocking her out.

With the Super Bowl this weekend, we know that many of our Superstars of IMPACT WRESTLING are just as divided on who will come out the victor in the biggest game in the NFL as our fans our. With that in mind, we asked a few of our Superstars to share their picks with you.

Tara:

I think New York will win the Super Bowl because I can’t pick a team whose quarterback has prettier hair than I do.

Knockouts Champion Gail Kim vs Tara (non-title)

Tara overwhelms Gail to start, slams her, tears her shirt off, and hits a standing moonsault for 2. Madison grabs Tara’s ankle from the outside and allows Gail to spear her in the corner, then Gail slumps Tara on the second rope and hits her with a vertical splash. Gail with a leaping clothesline to the back and a running knee to the back for 2. Gail goes for another fall and again gets 2. Gail with a horse collar on Tara’s bad knee, Tara gets out but Gail with a stiff clothesline and plays to the crowd instead of going for a fall. Gail plays with Tara, shoving her around before hitting a hard kick to the back and getting a Dragon sleeper. Tara snapmares out of the hold but Gail with another hard kick and a neckbreaker. Gail comes off the top with a back senton, but Tara moves and Gail hits hard. Tara with right hands and a snap suplex, then a back bodydrop. Tara with a snap powerslam and Madison gets up on the apron, but Tara goes and slugs her. Madison sneaks in and tries to hit Tara from behind, but Tara sees her coming and moves, and Madison hits Gail. Tara dumps Madison to the floor and hits the Widow’s Peak to get the win.

Winner: Tara
